Privacy Policy

Chromism for iOS and Android (dev.eduardoroth.chromism) · Effective August 26, 2026

The short version: Chromism has no accounts, no sign-up, and no servers of its own. Your scores and settings stay on your device. The one third party involved is Google AdMob, which serves the ads — and where the law requires it, you are asked for consent before a single ad is requested.

Who is responsible

Chromism is developed and published by Eduardo Roth (“I”, “me”). This policy explains what data is involved when you play Chromism and what choices you have. Questions and requests: eduardo@eduardoroth.dev.

What stays on your device

The game saves your best scores, your progress (such as unlocked colors), your settings (sound, music, haptics, retro mode), and whether you purchased the ad-free upgrade. All of this is stored locally on your device only. It is never sent to me — I have no servers and no way to read it. Uninstalling the app deletes it.

Advertising: Google AdMob

Chromism shows ads through Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK): a small banner on the menu and results screens, and an occasional full-screen ad between games. To serve and measure those ads, Google may collect and process:

This data is collected by Google, not by me — I only ever see aggregated ad reports. Google processes it under its own terms: see How Google uses information from apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.

Your consent: the UMP flow

Where consent is required by law (the EEA, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland), Chromism uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP): before the app makes any ad request, a consent form is shown asking whether Google and its advertising partners may use your data for personalized ads. If you decline, the app makes no ad requests at all — you simply see no ads.

You can review or withdraw your choice at any time inside the game: open Settings → Ad privacy options (this entry appears whenever the consent framework applies to you). Withdrawing consent takes effect immediately.

Tracking controls on your device

Removing ads

Chromism offers a one-time in-app purchase that removes all ads. The purchase is processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play — the app never sees your payment details. Only the fact that you own the upgrade is stored, on your device.

Leaderboards (optional)

If you choose to sign in, high scores can be submitted to Game Center on iOS or Google Play Games on Android, where they appear on leaderboards under your Apple or Google player profile. Signing in is optional, the sign-in itself is handled by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies, and I receive no account information from it. If you never sign in, no scores leave your device.

Children

Chromism is a general-audience game. It has no chat, no user-generated content, and collects no personal information itself. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children; the advertising described above is subject to the consent and tracking controls in the sections before this one.

Changes to this policy

If the app’s data practices change — for example, a new ad format or a new service — this page will be updated and the effective date above revised before the change ships.
